Dr. Greg Hunt is a nationally respected coach, relationship expert, and leadership consultant based in Olathe, Kansas. He is the co-founder and president of Directions, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and organizations navigate life with purpose, clarity, and connection.
With over 30 years of experience in pastoral ministry, higher education, and nonprofit leadership, Greg has become a trusted voice in the fields of relationship coaching, faith-based leadership development, and crisis navigation. His work combines deep theological insight, practical relationship tools, and a compassionate, client-centered approach to personal growth and transformation.
Greg earned his Ph.D in Systematic Theology and Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, following his undergraduate studies in History at Baylor University. He has served as a pastor and intentional interim minister across multiple states, helping congregations grow through seasons of transition, crisis, and renewal.
Currently, Greg serves as a research professor and supplemental faculty member at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Overland Park, Kansas, where he teaches courses in theology, leadership, and ethics as well as supervising students in the Doctor of Ministry program.
His pastoral and academic background uniquely position him to serve clients who are navigating both personal and professional challenges — especially those seeking faith-informed coaching that speaks to the heart as well as the mind.
Together with his wife, Priscilla Hunt, Greg co-leads Close Companions, a coaching practice and online relationship academy designed to help couples build stronger marriages, improve communication, and deepen emotional connection.
As a Certified Relationship Specialist and certified Couple Communication trainer, Prepare-Enrich trainer, and Immunity to Change instructor, Greg works with couples through private coaching sessions, workshops, retreats, and digital resources. His coaching emphasizes mutual understanding, emotional safety, and practical skills for everyday life.
